Jaguar F-Type

The New Meaner, Faster, and Louder 2018 Jaguar F-Type

One of the best looking cars on the road, the Jaguar F-Type just got better. With a slight facelift, and there’s a new model in the F-Type line, the 400 Sport and as the name suggests, its 3.0-liter supercharged V6 that puts out 400 horsepower.

Along with the power upgrade, the Jaguar F-Type 400 Sport now gets standard F-Type’s Super Performance brakes, Configurable Dynamics system, and 20-inch wheels. The 400 Sport comes in white, silver, or black, and each car gets bright and brilliant yellow 400 Sport badging.

The 400 Sport comes with either rear- or all-wheel drive and it only comes with Jaguar’s eight-speed automatic. The R-Dynamic is offered with a manual transmission and your choice of 340 hp V6 and a 380-hp V6, and you can pair each motor with rear or all-wheel-drive.

The V8-powered F-Type R and F-Type SVR remain mechanically identical to their predecessors, but they too get new LED headlights and slightly revised styling. Jaguar has also added Slimline Seats, saving a significant 8 kg (17.6 pounds) of weight, along with a new entertainment system.

The updated F-Type also brings a new app created with GoPro, ReRun. The app combines GoPro footage, with speed, steering, throttle, and other data from the car. For people who spend a lot of time on the track, ReRun will be extremely useful.

“The 2018 F-Type is only subtly different than its predecessor, and that’s something to be celebrated.” – Chris Perkins, Road & Track.
